TG POLYCET-2025 NOTIFICATION
Applications are invited from Candidates who have passed SSC or its equivalent examination recognized by the Board of Secondary Education, Telangana, Hyderabad (or) appearing in the year 2025 to appear for “Polytechnic Common Entrance Test - POLYCET-2025” for seeking admission into Diploma Courses in Engineering and Non- Engineering/
Technology offered at Polytechnics/ Institutions (including Govt./Aided and Unaided polytechnics/ Institutions and Polytechnics running in Private Engineering Colleges) in Telangana State, Agricultural courses offered by Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University (PJTAU), Horticultural Diploma courses offered by Sri Konda Laxman Telangana Horticultural University(SKLTGHU), Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Courses offered by PV Narasimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University (PVNRTVU) for AY-2025-26.
POLYCET - Polytechnic Common Entrance Test is conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Hyderabad. Based on the POLYCET rank, admission into the following courses will be allotted:
a) Diploma level programs offered by the State Board of Technical Education & Training (SBTET) in Government, Government-Aided, Private Un-Aided Polytechnics, and Polytechnics run in existing Private Un-Aided Engineering Colleges in Telangana State.
b) Diploma Courses offered by Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University (PJTAU) both University and affiliated Polytechnics in the Telangana State.
c) Diploma Courses offered by SRI KONDA LAXMAN TELANGANA HORTICULTURAL UNIVERSITY (SKLTGHU) both University and affiliated Polytechnics in the Telangana State.
d) Diploma Courses offered by P V Narsimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University (PVNRTVU) in the Telangana State.
Two separate Ranks will be allotted for the candidate who appeared for POLYCET. Candidates can opt to study Diploma Courses offered by SBTET (or) Courses offered by PJTAU (or) PVNRTVU (or) SKLTGHU.

Eligibility
Candidates who appeared or are appearing for SSC or equivalent examination being held in March/April-2025, and whose results are yet to be declared can also appear for POLYCET-2025.
Application Fee:
General Category: Rs.500
SC/ST Category: Rs.250
Late Fee : Rs. 100
Tatkal Fee : Rs. 300
PATTERN AND SYLLABUS FOR THE EXAMINATION:
The examination (POLYCET) will be of 2 Hrs 30 Minutes duration consisting of only one paper as per the syllabus in the subjects of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry & Biology of X Class (S.S.C.) Examination held in Academic Year 2024-2025 as prescribed by the Board of Secondary Education, Telangana State.
The POLYCET Examination will be conducted for 150 marks in Mathematics (60 marks) + Physics (30 Marks) + Chemistry (30 Marks) +Biology (30 Marks).
The Duration of the Examination is 2 ½ hours i.e., 11:00 AM to 01:30 PM.
The candidates who are willing to take admission to the Agricultural & Veterinary Diploma
Courses offered by PJTAU & PVNRTVU & SKLTGHU shall attempt Biology Questions.
The Question Paper Pattern will be as below
Maths 60 Questions 60 Marks
Physics 30 Questions 30 Marks
Chemistry 30 Questions 30 Marks
Biology 30 Questions 30 Marks
Total Marks 150 Questions 150 Questions
Two separate Ranks will be generated for MPC (120 Marks) and MBiPC Streams and MBiPC ranks will be generated by scaling down the Maths marks to 30.
g) The Question paper consists of 150 questions with a choice of four responses for each question with only one correct response among them.
Two separate Ranks will be generated for each candidate through POLYCET for Admissions into Polytechnics and Admissions into Agricultural Diploma & Veterinary & HORTICULTURAL Diploma as per the following criteria:
MPC Rank: will be issued to students who desire to take admission into Diploma Courses in Polytechnics affiliated with SBTET.
MBiPC Rank: will be issued to the students who desire to take admission into courses offered by PJTAU, SKLTGHU, and PVNRTVU Diploma Courses based on marks obtained in Math, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Reservation of Seats for the Courses offered by SBTET
a) Reservation of seats in favour of SC/ST/BC (A, B, C, D, E) Candidates shall be made in non-minority institutions as per the following percentages. SC - 15 %, ST - 10 %, BC - 29% (BC ‘A’ - 7%, BC ‘B’ - 10%, BC ‘C’- 1%, BC ‘D’- 7%, BC ‘E’-4%) and remaining seats in OPEN COMPETITION.
b) EWS Reservation: EWS Reservations will be applicable in terms of G.O.Ms.No. 244, GAD (Sec.D) Dept., Dated:24.08.2021
Note:
Any amendments as stated by the Government of Telangana shall be implemented from
time to time.
How to Apply:
a) Open the polycet website polycet.sbtet.telangana.gov.in Click on registration and fill in the details.
b) After entering the registration details verify the mobile number with OTP. An SMS with the Registration number and password will be received by the registered mobile number.
c) Login with the Registration number and Password to enter into the POLYCET Application.
d) Click on Pay Now.
e) Select the payment gateway and proceed for payment, and make the payment.
f) After the successful payment click on Fill Application.
g) Enter the Personal details and click on Get Details.
h) Enter the Communication Details and click on Next.
i) Enter the Category details and click on Next.
j) Enter the Special Category details and click on Next.
k) Enter the Exam Center Details and click on Next.
l) Enter the Study Details and click on Next.
m)Upload Photo & Sign and click on Save & Preview.
n) Click on Generate Hall ticket and Download Hall ticket for Entrance Exam.
