Sainik Schools Society (SSS) is an autonomous organisation under the Ministry of Defence, Govt of India. The Society runs Sainik Schools. Sainik Schools are English medium residential schools affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Sainik Schools prepare Cadets to join the National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakwasla (Pune), Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala and other Training Academies for officers. At present there are a total of 33 Sainik Schools across the country.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the All- India Sainik School Entrance Examination (AISSEE-2025) for admission to Class VI and Class IX in Sainik Schools/New Sainik Schools across the country, for the academic year 2025-26.Sainik Schools offer admission at the level of Class VI and Class IX. Admission is based on the performance of candidates in the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE).

Candidate should be between 10 and 12 years as on 31.03.2025 Admission for Girls is open in Class VI only in all Sainik Schools. Eligibility for admission to approved New Sainik Schools is detailed in the Information Bulletin. |
| Eligibility for admission to Class IX |
Candidate should be between 13 and 15 years as on 31.03.2025 and should have passed Class VIII, from a recognised school, at the time of admission. Admission for Girls is open for Class IX, subject to availability of vacancies. Age criteria is same as boys is detailed in the Information Bulletin. |
