POLYTECHNIC COMMON ENTRANCE TEST-2022 DETAILED NOTIFICATION

Admission into Diploma Courses in Engineering and Non- Engineering/ Technology offered at Polytechnics/Institutions (including Govt./Aided and Unaided polytechnics/ Institutions and Polytechnics running in Private Engineering Colleges) in Telangana State,Agricultural courses offered by Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) , Horticultural Diploma courses offer by Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University (SKLTSHU), Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Courses offered by PV Narasimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University 2022-23

TS POLYCET-2022 Exam was conducted on 30th June,2022  in 365 centers across  the Telangana state.
Out of a total of 1,13,979 applicants
1,04,432 (91.62 %) appeared for the exam.

Application are called from Candidates passed SSC or its equivalent recognized by the Board of Secondary Education, TS, Hyderabad (or) appearing in 2022 to appear "Polytechnic Common Entrance Test - POLYCET-2022" for seeking admission into Diploma Courses in Engineering and Non- Engineering/ Technology offered at Polytechnics/Institutions (including Govt./Aided and Unaided polytechnics/ Institutions and Polytechnics running in Private Engineering Colleges) in Telangana State,Agricultural courses offered by Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) , Horticultural Diploma courses offer by Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University (SKLTSHU), Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Courses offered by PV Narasimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University and Tentatively admission into 6 years integrated undergraduate (B.Tech.) courses offered by Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), Basar, Nirmal Dist, Telangana for AY-2022-23.

Eligibility:

POLYTECHNIC DIPLOMA COURSES OFFERED BY SBTET

1. Candidate shall be an Indian National.
2. Candidate should belong to the State of Telangana /Andhra Pradesh as defined in G.O.(P).No. 646, Education (W) Dept., dated 10-07-1979 and in the subsequent amendments.
3. Candidates should have passed S.S.C. Examination conducted by State Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana or anyother examination recognized as equivalent thereto bythe Board ofSecondaryEducation, A.P/TS. such as CentralBoard of SecondaryEducation (CBSE), Indian Council for Secondary Education (ICSE), National Institute of Open School (NIOS), Telangana Open School Society (TOSS), A.P. Open School Society (APOSS), X class examination conducted by various State Boards of Secondary Education in India with Mathematics as one of the subjects, and obtained at least 35% marks in the qualifying examination.
4. Candidates belonging to NIOS/TOSS/APOSS/CBSE/ICSE/OTHER Examinations recognized as equivalent to SSC by Telangana State SHOULD HAVE PASSED ALL THE SUBJECTS including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, with minimum of 35% Marks in each subject.
5. Candidates who appeared or are appearing for SSC or equivalent examination being held in March/April-2022, and whose results are yet to be declared can also appear for POLYCET-2022.
6. There is no age restriction for appearing for POLYCET-2022. However maximum eligible age for obtaining a scholarship, the guidelines issued in Memo No. 10537/SW(Edn.2)/2011, and those issued from time to time by Social Welfare (Edn.) Department shall apply.
7. Mere appearing for POLYCET-2022 and obtaining a merit rank does not ipso facto entitle a candidate to be considered for admission automatically, unless the candidate fulfills the requirements laid down for admission

COURSES OFFERED BY PJTSAU AND SKLTSHU

1. Candidate shall be an Indian National.
2. Candidates seeking admission should produce a certificate(s) from the Heads of Institution(s) that the candidate has studied for a minimum period of 4 years in schools located in Non-Municipal areas during their period of study from 1st class to 10th class (any four years). The relevant information must be filled in the proforma as prescribed in FORM-I and duly signed by the Head of the institution concerned.
3. If Form-I is not filled in/duly signed by the concerned Head of Institution or officer along with office seal, the claim of the candidates will be rejected.
4. As of now, the Diploma courses offered by the University are not equal to Intermediate or any other vocational courses offered by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh.
5. Candidate should belong to the State of Telangana /Andhra Pradesh as defined in G.O.(P). No. 646, Education (W) Dept., dated 10-07-1979 and in the subsequent amendments.
6. Candidate should have passed SSC Examination conducted by State Board of Secondary Education, T.S./A.P. or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the Board of Secondary Education, T.S./A.P. such as Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Indian Council for Secondary Education (ICSE), National Institute of Open School (NIOS), Telangana Open School Society(TOSS), A.P. Open School Society (APOSS), X Class Examination conducted by various State Boards of Secondary Education in India with Science as one of the subjects, and obtained at least 35% marks in the qualifying examination.
7. Candidates belonging to NIOS/TOSS/APOSS/CBSE/ICSE/OTHER Examinations recognized as equivalent to S.S.C. by Telangana State SHOULD HAVE PASSED ALL THE SUBJECTS including Mathematics, Biology, Physics, Chemistry with a minimum of 35% Marks in each subject.
8. In respect of the Diploma Courses offered by PJTSAU and SKLTSHU, the candidates for admission into Polytechnic Diploma Courses in the PJTSAU and SKLTSHU shall be required to have completed 15 years of age as of the year of admission with an upper age limit of 22 years as on 31-12-2022.
9. The selected candidates for admission into Diploma courses of PJTSAU and SKLTSHU shall pay the prescribed fees immediately. The detailed fee structure shall be placed on the University website along with the admission notification.

VETERINARY COURSES OFFERED BY PVNRTVU.

1. Candidate shall be an Indian National.
2. Candidates seeking admission should produce a certificate(s) from the Heads of Institution(s) that the candidate has studied for a minimum period of 4 years in schools located in Non-Municipal areas during their period of study from 1st class to 10th class (any four years). The relevant information must be filled in the proforma as prescribed in FORM-I and duly signed by the Head of the institution concerned.
3. If Form-I is not filled in/duly signed by the concerned Head of Institution or officer along with office seal, the claim of the candidates will be rejected.
4. The candidates who have higher education 10+2 or above are not eligible.
5. As of now, the Diploma courses offered by the University are not equal to Intermediate or any other vocational courses offered by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh.

9. In respect of the Diploma Courses offered by PVNRTVU, the candidates for admission into Polytechnic Diploma Courses in the PVNRTVU should have completed 15 years of age as of the year of admission with an upper age limit of 22 years as on 31-12-2022.
10. The selected candidates for admission into Diploma courses of PVNRTVU shall pay the prescribed fees immediately. The detailed fee structure shall be placed on the University website along with the admission notification.

COURSES OFFERED IN 6-YEAR INTEGRATED B.TECH PROGRAM BY RGUKT(IIIT-BASARA)

1. Candidates should have passed SSC (10th class) or any other equivalent examination recognized by the Governments of Telangana State & AP State and conducted in 2022 on first attempt.
2. Candidates should not have completed 18 years of age as on 31.12.2022, (21 years in case of students belonging to SC and ST categories).
3. International students shall be of Indian Nationality / Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/ Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Card Holders.

HORTICULTURE COURSES OFFERED BY SKLTSH

1. Candidate shall be an Indian National.
2. Candidates seeking admission should produce a certificate(s) from the Heads of Institution (s) that the candidate has studied for a minimum period of 4 years in schools located in Non-Municipal areas during their period ofstudy from 1st class to 10th class (any four years). The relevant information must be filled in the proforma as prescribed in FORM-I and duly signed by the Head of the institution concerned.
3. If Form-I is not filled in/duly signed by the concerned Head of Institution or officer along with office seal, the claim of the candidates will be rejected.
4. The candidates who have higher education 10+2 or above are not eligible.

8. In respect of the Diploma Course offered by SKLTSHU, the candidates for admission into Polytechnic Diploma Course in the SKLTSHU shall be required to have completed 15 years of age as of the year of admission with an upper age limit of 22 years as on 31.12.2022
9. The selected candidates for admission into the Diploma course of SKLTSHU shall pay the prescribed fees immediately. The detailed fee structure shall be placed on the University website along with the admission notification.

How to apply:

1. Fill in the Application form as per the following guidelines at polycetts.nic.in (or) polycet.sbtet.telangana.gov.in
2. First fill the 10th Class Hall ticket No., Year of pass and Date of Birth.
3. Fill in your name as per schoolrecords with one letter for each box. Leave a gap between parts of your name.
4. Fill in your father’s name
5. Fill in your date of birth in DD MM YYYY [Date /Month/Year] format.
6. Fill in your address details (House number, Village/street, Mandal /town/city, District, PIN code, Mobile number) for correspondence
7. Fill in the place where you would like to appear for the examination. Refer to the table of examination centers
8. Enter the area code to which you are local to Telangana (Refer Annexure-II)
9. Enter your reservation category (BC/SC/ST)
10. Enter your special category, if any (CAP/SP/PH/NCC).
11. Fill in minority community details (other than Hindu) as entered in your school records
12. Fill in your Willingness to appear the examination in Urdu medium. Examination in Urdu medium will be conducted only at Hyderabad center.
13. Fill in the Aadhaar UID Number.
14. Sign the declaration with regard to your physical fitness to pursue the Polytechnic Courses.
15. Apply online at www.polycetts.nic.in (or) polycet.sbtet.telangana.gov.in with online payment option (or) TS online with a cash payment of Rs. 450/- For SC/ST Candidates Rs. 250/-.

SYLLABUS

1. The examination (POLYCET) will be of 2 Hrs 30 Minutes duration consisting of only one paper as per the syllabus in the subjects of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry & Biology of X Class (S.S.C.) Examination held in Academic Year 2022-2023 as prescribed by the Board of Secondary Education, Telangana State.

Question Paper Pattern:

The POLYCET Examination will be conducted for 150 marks in Mathematics (60 marks) + Physics (30 Marks) + Chemistry (30 Marks) +Biology (30 Marks).
The Duration of Examination is 2 ½ hours i.e, 11:00 AM to 01:30PM.
The candidates who are willing to take admission in to Agricultural & Veterinary Diploma Courses offered by PJTSAU & PVNRTVU attempt Biology Questions.

Two separate Ranks will be generated for each candidate through POLYCET for Admissions into Polytechnics & Admissions into 6-Year Integrated B. Tech Program courses offered by RGUKT and Admissions into Agricultural Diplomas & Veterinary & Horticulture Diplomas as per the following criteria:

MPC Rank: will be issued to students who desire to take admission into Diploma Courses in Polytechnics affiliated to SBTET and courses offered by RGUKT based on marks obtained in Math’s, Physics and Chemistry.

MBiPC Rank: will be issued to the students who desires to take admission into courses offered by PJTSAU, SKLTSHU, and PVNRTVU Diploma Courses based on marks obtained in Math’s, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

(i) For Admission into Polytechnics the ranking will be based on the marks scored in Maths (60 marks) + Physics (30 Marks) + Chemistry (30 Marks) put together for maximum marks of 120.
(ii) For Admission into Agricultural Polytechnics the ranking will be based on the marks scored in Maths (60/2=30 Marks) + Physics (30 Marks) + Chemistry (30 Marks) + Biology (30) Marks put together for maximum marks of 120.

The Admission Schedule:

1. The admission schedule (Web Counseling) will be notified in all the leading Newspapers after declaration of POLYCET-2022 results.
2. Candidates are advised to note that the admission into Polytechnics for the academic year 2022-23 shall be made on the basis of Web Counseling, wherein the candidates can opt for any courses in any Polytechnic in the order of priority and the allotment shall be made for his/her best preferred choice based on his/her merit and other admission rules in vogue.
3. Details of Web counseling and the list of Helpline centers will be available on the website https://tspolycet.nic.in and shall also be notified in all the leading Newspapers after declaration of POLYCET-2022 results.

1. It is mandatory for Students otherthan OC to enter mee seva Caste Certificate, Aaadhar No to avail category reservation
2. 2022 SSC Students can apply once SSB Board releases Hall Tickets.
