  2. VIII Class - Candidate should have completed 12 years of age as on 31st August,2025 of the Academic year 2025-26 in which he/she is seeking admission.
    D.O.B between 31.08.2013 (12 Years) & 31.08.2008(17 Years)
  3. IX Class - Candidate should have completed 13 years of age as on 31st August,2025 of the Academic year 2025-26 in which he/she is seeking admission.
    D.O.B between 31.08.2012 (13 Years) & 31.08.2007(18 Years)
  4. X Class - Candidate should have completed 14 years of age as on 31st August,2025 of the Academic year 2025-26 in which he/she is seeking admission.

Procedure for submission of Online Applications:

  1. Students after satisfying the above conditions, have to pay fees through mee-seva, online centers with particulars and obtain Journal number
  2. Mere obtaining general number will not be considered unless he/she submits the online application. The general number is only an evidence of payment of examination fee.
  3. After obtaining general number they have to submit online application to http://telanganams.cgg.gov.in/ (online).

Selection procedure:

  1. Selections are made strictly as per merit list (marks obtained) and Rule of Reservation as stipulated in G.O.Ms.No.24 Secondary Edn (Prog.-11) Dept., dt.10.06.2016.

Rule of Reservation:

  1. i. 15% and 10% seats in each class shall be reserved for candidates belonging to the SCs and STs respectively.
  2. ii. 29% of the seats in each class shall be reserved for BCs and shall be allocated among the five groups of BCs as shown below:
    a) Group - A 7%
    b) Group - B 10%
    c) Group - C 1%
    d) Group - D 7%
    e) Group - E 4%
  3. iii. Physically Challenged students: 3% (in the reservation group of the students)
  4. EWS Students: Who are not covered under SC,ST & BCs and shall get 10% reservations, Certificate produced by Thasildar.
  5. iv. 33.33% seats shall be reserved for Girls in all categories as indicated in Clause 4(vii) of G.O.Ms.No.24 Secondary Edn (Prog.-II) Dept., dt10.06.2016.
  6. v. If sufficient number of candidates of any particular category are not available to fill up the seats reserved for that group, they may be filled up by suitable candidates as indicated in Clause 4(x) of the above G.O.
  7. vi. Remaining seats will be filling with open category students.
  8. vii. Each of the Classes VI to X has two sections with an intake of 50 per section. While admitting the Students, the Class shall be taken 100 Students per class for Classes VI to X. Admission for Class VI will be conducted for 100 intake and vacant seats will be filling for Class VII to X as on the date of Telangana State Model Schools Admission Test / opting of schools.
  9. viii. Each Model School will be considered as a unit for admission.
